regulatory risk management, Loran Adams, has been promoted to executive
vice president. Adams joined Carter Bank & Trust in January 2017 as
senior vice president.

Carter Bank & Trust Chief Executive Officer Litz Van Dyke said, “In a

Adams has three decades of internal auditing and risk management
experience in the banking industry. Prior to joining Carter Bank &
Trust, he was the director of internal audit for George Bank and Trust

Adams earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from
Francis Marion College in Florence, South Carolina. He is a member of
the Virginia Bankers Association’s Enterprise Risk Management Committee
and frequent conference speaker on various risk management and
leadership topics.
